IP Session ACL and User Role Configuration

The following procedure configures a user-role for Lync or Skype for Business clients. In addition, the procedure provides steps to add anACLAccess Control List. ACL is a common way of restricting certain types of traffic on a physical port.to permitTCPTransmission Control Protocol. TCP is a communication protocol that defines the standards for establishing and maintaining network connection for applications to exchange data.traffic forappShort form for application. It generally refers to the application that is downloaded and used on mobile devices.-sharing and file-transfer sessions.

The following procedure describes how to configure the IP sessionACLAccess Control List. 1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate toConfiguration > Roles & Policies.

2.In theRolestab, select an existing role.

3.In theRoles > section, clickShow Advanced View.

4.In thePoliciestab, click+. TheAdd Policypop-up window opens.

5.In theAdd Policywindow, select theAdd existing session policyoption.

6.In thePolicy Namedrop-down list, select theskype4b-aclpolicy.

7.In thePolicy typedrop-down list, selectSession.

8.ClickSubmit.

9.Repeat steps 4 and 5.

10.In thePolicy Namedrop-down list, select thevoip-application-aclpolicy.

11.In thePolicy typedrop-down list, selectSession.

12.ClickSubmit.

13.ClickPending Changes.

14.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy changes.
