Enabling WMM

The following procedure describes how to enableWMMWi-Fi Multimedia. WMM is also known as WME. It refers to a Wi-Fi Alliance interoperability certification, based on the IEEE 802.11e standard. It provides basic QoS features to IEEE 802.11 networks. WMM prioritizes traffic according to four ACs: voice (AC_VO), video (AC_VI), best effort (AC_BE), and background (AC_BK).for wireless clients:

1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate toConfiguration > System> Profiles.

2.InAll Profiles, expandWireless LAN > Virtual AP > default > SSID.
This example uses thedefaultprofile.

3.InSSID Profile, select theWireless Multimedia (WMM)check box.Or, select theWireless Multimedia U-APSD (WMM-UAPSD) Powersavecheck box if you want to enable WMM in power save mode.

4.ClickSubmit.

5.ClickPending Changes.

6.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy changes.
