Enabling Remote AP Local Network Access

You can enable local network access between the clients (from same or differentsubnetsSubnet is the logical division of an IP network.andVLANsVirtual Local Area Network. This allows the clients to effectively communicate with each other without routing the traffic via themanaged device. You can use WebUI orCLICommand-Line Interface. A console interface with a command line shell that allows users to execute text input as commands and convert these commands to appropriate functions.to enable the local network access.

The following procedure describes how to enableRemote APlocal network access:

1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate to theConfiguration > System > Profilestab.

2.SelectAP >AP systemunderAll Profiles.

3.Select the AP system profile you want to modify.

4.To enable remote network access, select theRemote-AP Local Network Accesscheck box under theRemote APaccordion.

5.ClickSave.

6.ClickPending Changes.

7.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy changes.

(host) [md] (config) #ap system-profile rap-local-network-access

To disable, enter the following command:

(host) [md] (config) #ap system-profile no rap-local-network-access
