Defining Corporate DNS Servers

Clients send DNS requests to the corporate DNS server address that it learned from DHCP. If configured for split tunneling, corporate domains and traffic destined for corporate use the corporate DNS server. For non-corporate domains and local traffic, other DNS servers can be used.

The following procedure describes how to define corporateDNSDomain Name System. A DNS server functions as a phone book for the intranet and Internet users. It converts human-readable computer host names into IP addresses and IP addresses into host names. It stores several records for a domain name such as an address 'A' record, name server (NS), and mail exchanger (MX) records. The Address 'A' record is the most important record that is stored in a DNS server, because it provides the required IP address for a network peripheral or element.servers:

1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate toConfiguration > System > Profiles选项卡。

2.SelectAP > AP systemunderAll Profiles.

3.Select an AP System Profile.

4.点击+underCorporate DNS Domaintable and enter theCorporate DNS Domain.

5.点击OK. TheDNSDomain Name System. A DNS server functions as a phone book for the intranet and Internet users. 6.点击Save.

7.点击Pending Changes.

8.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy changes.
