Configuring Remote AP Failback

In conjunction with the backupmanaged devicelist, you can configureremote APsRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. Remote APs are deplyed at branch office sites and are connected to the central network on a WAN link.to revert back(failback) to the primarymanaged deviceif it becomes available. If you do not explicitly configure this behavior, theremote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. Remote APs are deplyed at branch office sites and are connected to the central network on a WAN link.will keep its connection with the backupmanaged deviceuntil theremote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. Remote APs are deplyed at branch office sites and are connected to the central network on a WAN link.,managed device, or both have rebooted or some type of network failure occurs. If any of these events occur, theremote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. The following procedure describes how to configureRemote APfailback:

1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate to theConfiguration > System > Profilestab.

2.SelectAP >AP systemunderAll Profiles.

3.Select the AP system profile you want to modify.

4.Enter the following details in theLMS Settingsaccordion:

a.Select theLMS Preemptioncheck box. This is disabled by default.

b.Enter the duration (in seconds) for which theremote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. Remote APs are deplyed at branch office sites and are connected to the central network on a WAN link.must wait before moving back to the primarymanaged device, in theLMS Hold-down periodfield.

5.ClickSave.

6.ClickPending Changes.

7.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy changes.
