Debugging IPv6

ArubaOSprovides the following debug commands for IPv6:

show ipv6 global— displays if IPv6 is enabled globally or not

show ipv6 interface——显示配置的IPv6地址, and any duplicate addresses

show ipv6 routeorshow datapath route ipv6— displays the IPv6 routing information

show ipv6 ra status— displays theRARouter Advertisement. The RA messages are sent by the routers in the network when the hosts send multicast router solicitation to the multicast address of all routers.status

show Datapath session ipv6— displays the IPv6 sessions created, and the sessions that are allowed

show datapath frame— displays the IPv6 specific counters

The following procedure describes how to use the ping and tracepath options.

1.To ping an IPv6 host, in theMobility Masternode hierarchy,navigate toDiagnostics > Tools > Pingtab, enter an IPv6 address, and clickPing.

2.To trace the path of an IPv6 host, in theMobility Masternode hierarchy,navigate toDiagnostics > Tools > Tracepathtab, enter an IPv6 address, and clickTrace.

The followingCLICommand-Line Interface. A console interface with a command line shell that allows users to execute text input as commands and convert these commands to appropriate functions.commands ping an IPv6 host.

(host)#ping ipv6

(host)#ping ipv6 interface vlan
