Configuring Health-Check Method, Groups, and Servers

The following procedure describes how to configure health-check method, groups, and server:

To configure theESIExternal Services Interface. ESI provides an open interface for integrating security solutions that solve interior network problems such as viruses, worms, spyware, and corporate compliance.health-check method, servers, and server groups using the WebUI:

1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate to theConfiguration > Services >External Servicestab.

2.Expand theGeneralaccordion.

3.Click+in theHealth-Check Configurationtable. TheCreate Health-Checktable is displayed

(To change an existing profile, click the health check profile name).

4.Provide the following details in theCreate Health-Checktable:

a.Enter a配置文件名称.

b.Frequency (secs)—Indicates how often themanaged devicechecks to see if the server is up and running. Default: 5 seconds.

c.Timeout (secs)显示的秒数themanaged devicewaits for a response to its health check query before marking the health check as failed. Default: 2 seconds.

d.Retry count—Is the number of failed health checks after which themanaged devicemarks the server as being down. Default: 2.

5.ClickSubmitto add a new health check profile.

6.ClickPending Changes.

7.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy changes.
