Understanding the Node Hierarchy

You can view the hierarchy of the devices and groups on aMobility Masterat a global level.Mobility Masters are placed into the/mmgroup andmanaged devicesare in the/mdgroup.

/md—This is the global or root level where anything configured is applicable to all the nodes globally. It is recommended not to edit or add additional configuration at this level.

/md/— This is used to differentiate the sites physically or by the type of deployment such as DMZ, Branch, Campus, RAPs, and so on.

When you log in to theMobility Master, you are placed in the/mm/mynodeprompt by default.
