VLAN Pools

You can create address pools forVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.and assign them to the requiredVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.interfaces. This topic includes the following sections:

Creating Address Pools for VLANs

The following procedure describes how to create aVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.pool for uplink interfaces on amanaged device:

1.In theManaged Networknode hierarchy, navigate toConfiguration > Interfaces> Pool Managementtab.

2.Expand theVLAN Poolsaccordion.

3.Click + below theVLAN Pools创建一个新表VLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.pool

4.In thePool namefield, enter a name to the new pool.

5.In theStart IP addressfield, enter the IP address at the start of the range of addresses.

6.In theEnd IP addressfield, enter the IP address at the end of the range of addresses.

7.ClickSubmit.

8.ClickPending Changes.

9.In thePending Changeswindow, select the check box and clickDeploy Changes.

Assigning Address Pool to VLAN

The following procedure describes how to assign aVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.address pool to aVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.:

1.Navigate toConfiguration > interfaces > VLANtab.

2.In theVLANstable, select the name of theVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.to which you want to assign theDHCPDynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to an IP-enabled device from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network.pool. AVLANS > (selected VLAN)table appears

3.Select theVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.ID of theVLANVirtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN.to use the address pool. ThePort Memberstable opens.

4.In thePort Memberstable, select the IPv4 subtab.

5.ForIP assignment, and selectVLANVirtual Local Area Network. 6.单击VLAN Pool下拉list and select aDHCPDynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
