Thermal Shutdown Support in Access Points

TheAruba530 Seriesand550 SeriesAPs support operating temperatures of up to 50℃ (indoor) or 60℃ (outdoor). Starting fromArubaOS8.6.0.0, these APs are enabled with thermal shutdown feature. The APs are equipped with an internal temperature sensor that initiate a shutdown when the AP’s operating temperature crosses the set threshold. The AP then disconnects from thecontrollertill an internal cool down is initiated. Once the AP reaches an optimum temperature, it reconnects to thecontroller. This process of rebootstrap and reconnection is carried out for 5 times, until the connection is restored. If the connection between the AP and thecontrollerstill does not secure, the AP remains in the shutdown state till it is manually turned on.
